"
A NOTE FROM AMANDA
"It's campy. It's real. It's for people who believe in love and laughter as radical acts."

Hi. I'm Amanda Bruton.

Actor. Writer. Mom. Lesbian. Queens, NY. In no particular order.

A few years ago, my wife and I decided we wanted a baby. Not a particularly unusual decision — except that we're two women, which means the path to parenthood involves doctors, spreadsheets, anonymous sperm donors, and a truly staggering amount of money. And along the way, I started writing about it.

What came out was Preggo My Lesbo — a comedic narrative podcast about what it actually costs to become a queer parent. The financial cost. The physical cost. The emotional cost of explaining your family-building choices to well-meaning straight people at every single step of the process.

We launched with a live reading at QED Astoria last December. Sold-out room. Very loud laughter. A lot of gay joy. And I knew immediately — this is bigger than a podcast.

That's when I brought it to FSP Studios.

Here's what I believe: stories like this one — specific, joyful, community-rooted, genuinely funny — deserve more than a good idea and a microphone. They deserve infrastructure. Development resources. A business model that treats the work seriously, even when the work is about something as ridiculous and profound as paying a stranger for their genetic material.

FSP Studios is that infrastructure. Kendal and I share a conviction that great storytelling and smart business are not opposites. Preggo My Lesbo has a voice, a built-in audience, and a clear commercial path. FSP has the development engine to take it there.

If you're here, it's because I trust you. And I want you to know what I'm building — and why I think it's worth backing.

Come in.

— Amanda

PREGGO MY LESBO

Created by Amanda Bruton

A comedic narrative podcast that doesn't take itself seriously — but takes love, lesbian culture, and the bewildering cost of having babies very seriously indeed.

The show follows one couple's journey to becoming queer parents. Through outrageous experiences with doctors, IVF, sperm donors, and the full cultural weight of being gay in America while trying to do something as ordinary as start a family — they find that the best way through it is together.

The show is a love letter to parents. And to lesbians. And to parents who are lesbians.

"Live reading · December 2025 · QED Astoria · Sold-out house · Audience response confirmed the voice, the format, and the appetite."
Preggo My Lesbo is a fiscally sponsored artist of Unique Projects Inc. through Pentacle.org — patron contributions are currently tax-deductible.
THE STUDIO

We Believe in Making Great Art with Great People

Great stories don't find their audiences by accident. They need resources, community, and the business infrastructure to break through. FSP Studios is that infrastructure — a creative incubator built on the conviction that clear communication, deep collaboration, and an uncompromising care for craft are not soft values. They are competitive advantages.

Our development fund cultivates the next generation of commercial creatives: providing capital, guidance, network, and a home base to develop their work across all media — with the stage as our ultimate destination.

"This first round of capital operationalizes the entire FSP Studios development engine — not a single show, but the system that builds them all."

Charles Busch

🎭

FSP Studios holds the exclusive development relationship with Charles Busch — one of the most distinctive and durable voices in American theatre.

The author of Vampire Lesbians of Sodom, Die Mommie Die!, and The Tale of the Allergist's Wife (over 600 performances on Broadway), Busch has spent four decades creating work that is simultaneously high camp and deeply human — work that audiences return to, that transfers across media, and that holds its cultural value over time.

His most recent work, The Porch on Windy Hill, received a Drama Desk nomination in 2026. He is not slowing down.

The project currently in development with FSP Studios is a new script, separate from The Porch on Windy Hill, in active rewrites. It is the kind of material that could only come from Charles Busch: formally rigorous, wildly funny, and rooted in a theatrical tradition he helped define.

FSP's relationship with Busch is not transactional. It is the kind of creative partnership built on mutual trust and a shared belief that the work matters. He came to us. We intend to honor that.

For FSP Studios, the Busch project serves as the anchor of our development portfolio — the proof point that our model attracts serious artists with serious material, and that the studio is built to hold work of this caliber.

"He came to us. We intend to honor that."

WHO WE ARE

Frankly Spoken Productions

Frankly Spoken Productions is a New York-based commercial theatrical production company with three Broadway productions and $750,000 in raised capital — founded on the belief that extraordinary stories deserve extraordinary business infrastructure.

We operate two distinct arms:

FSP Studios — our creative incubator and development engine. The private placement you're looking at today funds this arm. We develop properties across stage, new media, and screen using a centralized studio model with a strict $100K per-project development cap.

The Drama Club — our in-house digital marketing agency. We build owned audiences, manage social portfolios, and capture first-party customer data for every property we develop. The audience is not an afterthought. It is infrastructure.
